Who we are
Established in 1998, TransWorks provides specialised high-end network service to major telecommunication companies Telecom, Vodafone, Telstra-Clear as well as many internet service providers throughout New Zealand.
In 2009 Telecom re-tendered their service provider patch areas and Visionstream was successful in gaining the area from Cape Reinga to South Auckland. TransWorks has a contract with Visionstream for the area from Central Auckland to their Southern boundary for the inside-plant, including build services, radio/cellular, rigging, maintenance and provisioning.
What we do
TransWorks offers a comprehensive suite of capabilities to design and build both modern and legacy networks. Our services include:

- Core network infrastructure build
- Transmission equipment installation, commissioning and integration including network and inside-plant maintenance
TransWorks' projects range from simple installations of equipment into existing networks to more complex projects with customised planning, project management, installation and integration. Our Team
The TransWorks team is led by co-founder Paul Vandermeer. Paul is focused on leading a highly motivated team of technical specialists with the expertise to design, manage and build telecommunications networks throughout New Zaleand.
TransWorks has five main areas of operations:
- Design team: we have a long-standing presence in Telecom, Vodafone and Telstra-Clear; our designers are recognised as having extensive knowledge of telco infrastructure and equipment and are regularly upskilled on all new developments in the transmission field.
- Installation technicians: we have a group of very experienced technicians that work closely with the designers to produce high quality work.
- Reactive maintenance: we have an experienced team of bearer and radio technicians that keep the Telecom network in service in Central and South Auckland.
- Provisioning team: our provisioning team manage the network connections throughout the Central and South Auckland.
- Support staff: we have a team of highly qualified support staff to manage the financial side of the business and support the designers and technicians.
